Ground-based Adulticide Treatment Tonight, August 25, in West Roseville

Planned Ground-based Adulticide Treatments

What: Adult mosquito treatment
Where: West Roseville
When: Tonight, August 25, 2020 7 p.m.-12 a.m.

Due to ongoing wildfire smoke, we are unable to conduct aerial applications and have transferred our efforts to ground-based treatments.

Areas of West Roseville are scheduled for a ground-based adulticide treatment due to high adult mosquito counts and positive West Nile virus mosquitoes in the area. An EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in an ultra-low volume fog by truck to target adult mosquitoes.

Since several factors, including weather conditions, affect treatment activities, the District encourages Placer residents to check the District website for any changes to the treatment schedule and accompanying maps of the planned treatment areas.
