Areas of western Placer County are scheduled for an adult mosquito treatment from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm Wednesday 7/31/19. An EPA-registered mosquito adulticide will be applied in an ultra-low volume (ULV) fog by aircraft to reduce high mosquito abundance and limit West Nile virus risk.
Treatment areas (click for larger image):
- Southwest corner of Placer County extending north to Sunset Blvd W and west to approximately 1 mile west of the City of Roseville.
Note: Depending on weather conditions, the pilot may have to perform an “offset treatment”. This means that residents may see the plane flying outside of the designated treatment area in order to compensate for wind speed and direction and to ensure that our public health materials are reaching the intended area scheduled for the treatment.
