The agricultural areas of western Placer County are scheduled for treatment. An EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in an Ultra-low Volume (ULV) fog by aircraft in an effort to address increased mosquito populations and West Nile virus activity.
Treatment area: western Placer County agricultural areas west of Roseville, between East Catlett Rd and Baseline Rd. See map here.
Since several factors affect treatment activities, such as weather and wind conditions, the District encourages Placer residents to check this website regularly for any changes to the spraying schedule. For an overview of our mosquito control programs, you may view the District video.
Additional notes: Some areas within the planned treatment zone may not be treated due to organic agriculture, FAA regulations, weather condition, or other environmental or safety factor at the discretion of the pilot.
