Parts of Roseville are scheduled for treatment for high mosquito numbers and high West Nile virus activity. An EPA-registered mosquito adulticide will be applied in an Ultra-low Volume (ULV) fog by aircraft in an effort to address increased mosquito populations and West Nile virus activity.
Treatment areas (Click on map for larger image):
- Junction – between Pleasant Grove Blvd and Baseline Road, and Fiddyment Road to Washington Blvd
- Maidu – between Douglas Blvd and Cirby Way, and Sunrise Ave to Sierra College Blvd
Sun City Roseville – between Blue Oaks Blvd to just south of Pleasant Grove Blvd, and Fiddyment Road to Washington Blvd– Please note that treatment in the Sun City area has been CANCELLED
Since several factors affect treatment activities, such as weather and wind conditions, the District encourages Placer residents to check this website regularly for any changes to the treatment schedule. For an overview of our mosquito control programs, you may view the District video.
Please note that an “offset treatment” may need to be conducted. This means that residents may see the plane flying outside of the designated treatment area in order to compensate for wind speed and direction and to ensure that our public health materials are reaching the intended area scheduled for the treatment.
