To address increasing mosquito numbers and spike of West Nile virus activity this season in the irrigated agricultural areas in western Placer County, the District will perform aerial adulticide applications to rice fields on Thursday, August 16, 2012. The treatment will occur between 8:30-10:00 p.m.
- Placer County west border – between Nicolaus Road south to Sunset Blvd and between Fiddyment and Brewer roads. See map or aerial treatment.
Since several factors affect spraying activities, such as weather and wind conditions, the District encourages Placer residents to continue to check the District website for any changes to the spraying schedule and accompanying maps of the planned treatment areas.
