Parts of Roseville and western Placer are scheduled for treatment for high mosquito numbers and sustained West Nile virus activity. An EPA-registered mosquito adulticide will be applied in an Ultra-low Volume (ULV) fog by aircraft in an effort to address increased mosquito populations and West Nile virus activity.
Treatment areas (Click on map for larger image):
- Residential areas west of Fiddyment to Country Acres Lane and south of Philip Road and Blue Oaks Blvd. in Roseville
- Agricultural and rural areas north of Baseline Road between Country Acres Lane and Locust Road.
- Agricultural and rural areas south of Baseline Road between Pleasant Grove Road and Locust Road.
- Residential areas along Amoruso Way
Since several factors affect treatment activities, such as weather and wind conditions, the District encourages Placer residents to check this website regularly for any changes to the treatment schedule. For an overview of our mosquito control programs, you may view the District video.
Please note that an “offset treatment” may need to be conducted. This means that residents may see the plane flying outside of the designated treatment area in order to compensate for wind speed and direction and to ensure that our public health materials are reaching the intended area scheduled for the treatment.
